60220 Drexel Road, Joshua Tree, California 92252

There is a specific kind of calm that only exists on a property like this – 8-acres of untouched desert, where your neighbors are ancient, twisted Joshua trees, roaming coyotes, and the occasional breeze off the Bartlett Mountains. This 1, 666-sqft modern new construction, built to honor that stillness, is positioned perfectly to capture forever-vistas that sweep from the rugged local ridgelines all the way to the snow-capped peaks of the San Bernardino Mountains. It is the rare sort of place that works equally well as a sophisticated full-time residence, a turnkey vacation getaway, or a high-end STR for those looking to offer a truly elevated Mojave experience. Natural light fills the open-plan living area throughout the day with picture-perfect views out of every window. The kitchen shines with sleek Bosch appliances, Moroccan Zellige tile, quartz counters, and plenty of storage – a chef’s dream. A dramatic, long gallery hallway provides a sense of transition as you move toward the primary bedroom. That retreat is a standout, featuring an en suite bath with accent wall and vanity finished in hand-applied Roman clay and massive walk-in shower that feels more like a private spa. Each bedroom is intentionally sized for a king bed, accented by designer wall sconces and thoughtful closet space. Every corner feels curated: the giant architectural cubby wall… the side-by-side laundry tucked behind custom birch sliding doors… the half-bath behind a pocket-door… but the lifestyle here extends well beyond the walls. Spend mornings in the built-in sauna, rinsing off under the outdoor shower, before sunbathing in a lounge on the expansive patio. Evenings are for stargazing in the hammocks and gathering around the fire pit (featuring custom-poured concrete seating) cradled between two of the property’s most majestic Joshua Trees. There’s even a large organ perched in the landscape – A nod toward the surreal art-house spirit that makes this area so iconic. With Starlink connectivity and a Tesla charger already installed, the home is fully modern and ready for immediate use. And with 8-acres to play with, there is more than enough room to drop in a pool, spa, and ADU to complete the ultimate desert compound. All of this, and you’re still just minutes drive away from the hip shops of “downtown” Joshua Tree, the National Park, Integratron, La Copine, and Pappy & Harriet’s.
