The Gio Vineyard is an irrigated ranch property located within the Arroyo Seco AVA, and intensively farmed for vineyards and row crops, in an area known for its excellent water resources. The Arroyo Seco Cone is renowned for being a highly permeable groundwater recharge zone and is regarded by local growers as one of the best water regions in the Salinas Valley for both water quality and quantity. Irrigation water is supplied from a single groundwater well drilled in 1992 with a 100hp motor and yielding over 1,000 gpm.
